Within easy reach of Victoria Falls, Hwange remains one of Africa’s most compelling wildlife destinations – a vast and undeveloped game park where sightings of great herds of elephant, buffalo and sable are almost guaranteed. 

Whilst we recommend a number of Hwange camps, our preferred supplier is Wilderness Safaris, an African adventure travel company committed to life-changing safaris. Wilderness runs a number of small, luxurious camps, from where knowledgeable guides head out twice daily on game-viewing excursions. Our recommended air charter company, Sefofane Airlines, will transfer you to the safari camp of your choice.

Makalolo Plains is an 8 tent camp in a remote wilderness area offering huge herds of elephant, buffalo and sable. Little Makalalo is in the same location and offers a more intimate experience with only 4 tents.
