Knysna set around a tranquil lagoon, is an ideal base from which to explore the beaches of Plettenberg Bay, indigenous forests of Tsitsikamma and jewel-like lakes around Wilderness. Buzzing Plettenberg Bay is a popular haven with safe bathing, warm lagoons, rivers and 12 km of golden beaches, not to mention the dramatic Robberg Pensinsula which offers fantastic hiking.

Grootbos Nature reserve boasts sweeping coastal views, glorious fynbos and a strong conservation ethic, while Birkenhead House is personal and intimate with unhindered views over Walker  Bay.
